Southwest Florida is the perfect place to celebrate mothers day. Whether you're thinking of trying a new spot or looking for something to do in the area we've got some ideas for you!
Celebrate Mom in Southwest Florida:
01 Swap Brunch for Tea Time
Instead of taking mom to brunch on Sunday opt for tea rooms. In the local area, most of the tea rooms are open on throughout the week but closed closed on Sunday. However, the timing is ideal to avoid the crowds and have a more intimate time with mom. Here are some of the tea rooms in SWFL: Brambles English Tea Room, Forever Fiore Secret Garden Tea House, and Wisteria Tea Room.
02 Coffee or Wine?
If your mom is both a coffee and wine lover then check out a hybrid bar where she can have both! The local coffee and wine bar scene has grown over the years. Some of the locations even offer live music in the evening. Their cozy places can fill up fast, to see their busiest times search them on google. Here are a few local coffee and wine bars, Downtown Coffee & Wine Company, Divine Naples, and, Coffee Bar.
03 Skip the Beach
The beach is an oasis but can become very crowded on holidays. Substitute the beach for a nature trail or a garden, these places will be peaceful and low on noise pollution. See another side of SWFL at these locations, The Everglades Wonder Gardens, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, and Audubon Corkscrew Sanctuary. Visit their website for the most up-to-date visitor information.
04 Gather at a U-Pick
Spring is the perfect time to check out a local farm to gather your own produce and flowers. Currently, on Saturday and Sunday, Farmer Mike's is letting guests harvest 5 pounds of produce for $5. They grow a variety of flowers which you can use to make a locally grown arrangement to gift to mom. The last of the sunflowers will bloom later this week so make sure to head on over before they're gone. Check out Farmer Mike's U-Pick on Facebook for the most recent information.
05 Mother's Day Concert in the Park
